Bellingham Airport. For most people the best choice is the
Bellingham Hampton Inn Hotel located right off of I-5 at Bakerview
Rd. on Bennett Dr. about a block and a half from the Bellingham
Airport Terminal. If you would rather just grab a room for the night
and are looking for bargain accommodations you should look into the
Shamrock Motel just a few doors north of the Hampton Inn.
Reviews for the Shamrock are often mixed but you can save money
staying there.

are flying out of Bellingham International Airport or
visiting Bellingham to do some shopping and don't want to

It is hard to beat the Hampton Inn unless you want to go
more upscale and stay at the Bellwether Hotel on Bellingham's
waterfront. At the Hampton Inn a recent rate check in Dec
2011 for two people staying in a room with a king size bed
was $107 plus tax. |

Motel only a block away from the Bellingham Airport
terminal. It is simple, unassuming, and affordable.
Sometimes saving money is the name of the game and you can

Bellingham
Washington Bits
Bellingham has a number of unique features
and distinctions that make it a great place to visit and to
call home. Bellingham is perhaps best known for Mount Baker,
a Western Washington landmark and Icon that can be seen from
throughout Northwest Washington, Vancouver and Victoria
British Columbia. Bellingham is also home to the southern
terminus of the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry System linking
the Mainland United States with the great state of Alaska.
Passengers and their cars can board the Ferry at the
Bellingham Cruise Terminal in Fairhaven and connect to
Alaska's major cities and ports of call.
Bellingham is home to the Western Washington
University a four-year university of higher education. The
university was originally established as the Northwest
Normal School for women, a school for teachers with a set
norms for teaching. Northwest Washington University is now a
state university with a student body of over 14,000.
The university campus itself is located on a hill near
downtown Bellingham with views of Bellingham bay and the San
Juan islands. Notable alumni include Carrie Brownstein
Co-producer & Co-star of the Television show Portlandia
which pokes fun at Quirky Portland, which shares many of its
quirks with Bellingham. Another notable Alumni is Adult Film
