For more than 50 years the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry
System has been transporting people and their cars to the amazing
Islands and Territories of Alaska. The Alaska Ferry System now has 11
vessels connecting 35 cities and communities in America's northernmost
state. While making reservations be sure to check for advertised
specials on the Official Alaska Marine Highway System website like
their "Round Trip Driver Goes Free" Summer special for licensed
drivers accompanying their passenger vehicle on a mirror image
round-trip itinerary with conditions and exclusions of course.

about 1/2 price while kids 12 and up have to pay a full adult fare.

beer, wine, or cocktails in the ship's cocktail lounge.

PRIVATE CABINS: Private cabins outfitted with either
single or double bunk bed style berths. Most with private bathroom.
Those accustom to travelling to Alaska on luxury cruise ships should
take note that rooms do not include daily service, evening turn-down
or towel animals, and your fresh linens, pillows and blankets are
available but only upon request and a small fee.

The Hampton Inn is a great place to stay whether you
are flying out of Bellingham International Airport or
visiting Bellingham to do some shopping and don't want to
deal with a border crossing at night. Enjoy a free
breakfast, comfortable rooms, and very friendly service.
It is hard to beat the Hampton Inn unless you want to go
upscale and stay at the Bellweather Hotel on Bellingham's
waterfront. At the Hampton Inn a recent rate check in Dec
2011 for two people staying in a room with a king size bed
was $107 plus tax.
