Fairhaven WA Village
Bellingham Washington's historic waterfront
community on the shores of Bellingham bay is home to numerous
restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Fairhaven WA is perhaps
best known as the southern terminous of the Alaska Marine Highway
Ferry System and the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. The Fairhaven
Cruise Terminal also offers seasonal bay cruises and Orca Whale
Watching boat tours and passenger service to Friday Harbor on San
The Alaska Ferry arrives early each Friday
Morning and set sail in the afternoon for Alaska where you can
transfer to other ferries to numerous other Alaskan destinations.
Beautiful Fairhaven village is a nice place
to burn some time if you are waiting for the Ferry. You can browse
the shops, have a donut or coffee in one of the cafes or go for a
nice meal. There are great seafood, prime rib and even thai
restaurants to choose from. Also there is a Haggens Grocery store
you can walk to if you need to stock up on a few more items before
your ferry departs.
Fairhaven was once its own independent city
but merged with three surrounding nearby towns to form what is now
